Strangers On A Train (#51)

#51 on TRAINS magazine's Top 100 Train Movies.  Alfred Hitchcock directed this tale of two men, Robert Walker and Farley Granger, scheming to trade murders.  This 2-disc edition features the longer previewed edition, not released until 1996, along with the original and other features.  In the film, a frequent getting off point is "Metcalf", a fictional town that is actually Danbury , Conn, site now of the Danbur Railwwa Museum.  The film begins at Washington Union Station, while the close occurs at New York's Penn Station.  Featured trains include American Flyer cars built 1934-1938 by Pullman-Standard's Osgood Bradley Works.
