Video Management Company, Inc. was established in 1985, with the purpose of offering video consulting to grocery stores. VMC orders movies, repairs broken films, orders supplies, arranges promotions, sets up POP, and otherwise handles all areas of the movie rental business for the store apart from the actual rental transaction. Stores in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California and Nevada have used these services, with many of the original accounts still involved.

In the 1990's, VMC branched out into movie sales of budget products. Products with retails of $9.95 and $4.95 are sold, using racks provided by VMC. DVD is now included in this mix.

In 2000, VMC purchased a business specializing in selling train and aviation videos. The THOMAS THE TANK videos are part of this business, and VMC is one of two distributors to retail the THOMAS products in the U.S.

VMC does not sell videos to end consumers, other than the train and aviation videos displayed in this web site.
